Equiped as a complex trainer for commercial students and for instrument training with a Garmin GNS 430W GPS coupled to a 3-axis autopilot. WAAS approaches can be practiced in the comfort of air conditioning. It also has a storm scope that will give an advanced heads up on those Texas thunder storms that always try to rain on your flight plan.

Last, but not least, N608 has numerous speed mods and Hoerner wing tips that will give you true air speeds up to 150 KTS at 6500 feet. This makes for reasonably fast economical IFR cross countries within a range of 600 nautical miles.

Note from the Owner - Darrel Bivens:
I put the plane in the club because I thought we needed a plane with
enough speed and carrying capacity for a family to win out over
driving a car. Here it is: 135 Knots indicated, range 900nm (w/
reserve), Garmin with weather, and speed ($/knot) / carrying capacity
competes with the other planes we have.  Again, this is a trip plane
so there are some incentives listed below.

Incentives on plane hours:
       1. 1st two hours of rental associated with the checkout time of 8501N will be discounted by $10 per hour.

2. If the a/c is flown 6+ hours in a single trip, it will be discounted by $10 per hour.

How incentives work:
       1. You meet the incentive requirements and apply for the incentive within 7 days of the end of the billing cycle your hours are billed in.

2. You drop the owner a note at only this email address: 8501N-incentive@bayareaaeroclub.org
requesting X rebate, earned, X date, X hours. Include your name and member number also.

Example: (please do not deviate on the form - use the exact form below)
      John Doe 2001  - $20 5/1/08 2.1hrs

3. Once the hours for the month are delivered to the owner the owner will will approve, deny, amend and copy the treasurer on the rebate.

4. Treasurer will apply to the next billing cycle. So, ... you will not see the rebate in the month you flew that trip.
